Our Process
Placement Test
In order for us to choose the most appropriate level of curriculum for your child, we will administer an age-appropriate placement test at the beginning of school for any new students in the areas of math and reading.
Results of Placement Test
Our teachers will review your child’s assessment results and determine the appropriate starting level. It’s common for a child to be placed at different levels for reading and math. That’s perfectly okay — we teach these subjects in small groups so each student receives material that’s appropriately challenging, helping them learn and progress most effectively.
End of year assessment
As the school year ends, we will conduct a final assessment to evaluate how well the curriculum supported your child’s learning. The results will help us measure progress, identify strengths and areas for growth, and guide planning for the coming year. We will schedule a one-on-one meeting with each parent to review the assessment results and collaborate on goals and plans for next year.
Mid-year assessment
We will conduct a mid-year reading and math assessment to measure your child’s progress. Afterward, we will share the results with you, including a clear analysis and a projection for the remainder of the school year. This information will help us plan priorities and learning goals for the second half of the year. Where appropriate, we will also adjust your student’s instructional content and pacing to better support their growth.
